I'm new to this game - been burning them on a cd-recorder via the hi-fi for years but decided it was too damn slow so I'd try using the PC now Dad has finally entered the 20th century in terms of computing. Wrecked at least 4 cds so far!! Started off trying to use the Windows Media Player but it would only burn a certain number of tracks on each one before kicking it out. Then tried the software pre-loaded on the PC (RecordNow) which is utter shite - said it had burnt successfully but nothing on there & on an attempt to try again said that although there was nothing on there the CD wasn't blank so to insert a new disc. Finally, as a last-gasp attempt I tried using the Real Player & got results!!! Why didn't I try it in the first place??!!!!  Anyhow, it's now working grand, does anyone have any other/better programs they could recommend for burning?

ME TOO its an industry standard for most copying... I'll see if I CAN FIND ONE ON LINE for you to download??????????? no promises but I'll look ...............

no S/L ONLY 5-00 its progressed to 5.5 now 5.0 is dated 2000 so its out of date...sorry

S/L found the crack 5.5 (keygen but not the programme)

Cheers for that guys!!! I have managed to burn the CDs this time but I'll try that one next time.

Ta Merlin, don't worry - I'm sorted now though!!! Thanks very much for that anyway though.

When I read the title of the thread I assumed SL had done the decent thing with her Whigfield collection. However, I think the GREAT Whigfield got dropped like a hot potato after their first album, so I should have noted the plural in the thread title.

   Homer!!!

I may have some decidedly dubious CDs in my collection, but Whigfield ain't one of them....
