I need to buy a larger mem card for my new camera & just wondered if there is any difference in buying a name brand to a "own make" card? I've found a 2GB SD card for £15.95
 
I have a PC World own brand flash memory card that was less than half the price of a Sony one but there are no problems with performance.
I think most brand names are over-priced
 
Just as I thought! I think I might buy two 1GB cards though instead of just one 2gb so that if one fails I've always got another one to fall back on.
