Does anyone know if you can get a digital SLR with a batter which charges like a mobile phone i.e. an on-board lithium batter, which you charge direct from a 13amp socket?

The DSLRs I've had previously all use standard AA batteries, and whilst they are rechargable, they are universally shite......hence the camera rarely gets used as it's usually out of juice.

Thanks DG.

Don't suppose you know if these 'rechargable' lithium batteries are the mobile-phone kind, do you? I've seen this type of thing before, but they always turn out to be AA lithium batteries with an external charge-mechanism (i.e. you take them out the camera to charge them), rather than an onboard 'flat' lithium battery, charged direct from a power socket (i.e. you leave it in the camera whilst charging)?

I have the Canon 1100D and you do have to remove the battery to charge it. The charge lasts for ages though and the charger isn't that big. I keep it in my camera bag
