Hiya guys,

Having a bit of trouble with boundary rights with school next door, I may tell you about it afterwards.

By coincidence the local councillor is on the school's committee and he became involved. He told my wife that he would meet me on Saturday, so I sent him an invitory email with a few of concerns - hoping he could make some efforts.

I sent him the email copied to myself. When I check, a few hours later there is no email activity on my account today (no ins, no outs, no shake-it-abouts).

Any comments, could he have seen a problem and deleted any trace of the email?

Plot thickens, just seen the councillor's car (I think) in the school car-park. Maybe innocent, but don't think so!

If he was dogging at the time, you probably don't have a great deal to worry about. *

Councillor failed to turn up this morning, after telling my wife he would, so decided to write letter to local press - hope it gets printed, comments please:

Dear Gazette,

I would just like to question recent investment in Thames School, South Shore.

By my reckoning, the six car parking places laid down last summer may well have cost tens of thousands of pounds each.

But it gets worse, the new car parking places lay beside a ‘blinding’ wall with cars reversing out into the path of potentially hundreds of vehicles per day not to say hundreds of excited primary school children and Mums battling to control pushchairs, prams and toddlers.

But it gets even worse, the car-parking place with ‘zero’ sideways visibility is the ‘disabled’ spot.

Yet, worse still than this inept parking plan, is the fact that a high security wall was demolished to accommodate SIX cars. So now, to pour good money after bad, alley-gates are in the offing to the detriment of many local residents. But that’s another story, potentially with legal ramifications.

Just to emphasise the lack of consultation, Councillor Lee was going to call in to my house this morning so I have hung around for several hours, even tidied up but no show. Oh, Councillor, was that your very recognisable car scuttling from the rear of Thames School this morning at 8:45 – less than 100 metres from my front door.

There must be an Olympic title in the offing for the most inept council investment and the gold medal must surely go to to THAMES School council for being able to bounce Councillor Lee and the Blackpool Planning department into such a disgraceful use of tax-payers money when there are so many other shortages.

Just to emphasise how bitter disputes are becoming, I thought long and hard before putting pen to paper because my children went to Thames school and have prospered since. Has the school management changed – quite probably and ….. for the better?
