A horse on the missing list .Last seen down the field in the CH after a good season . I wondered whether they might try and step him up to 3 miles but he has not been seen all season and has no entries .

Anyone know what has happened to him ? I cannot find any reports online.

I really wish the Dr Pepper Group would step in and sponsor this and bring back the Schweppes name.......I notice Celestial Halo dropped down to 161 since the Champion Hurdle which is only 1lb higher than he won the totescoop6 H'cap Hurdle off.

The Greatwood winner Olofi looked his biggest danger that day till falling 2 out but Celestial Halo would be about 8lbs better in with him at Newbury.

Newbury is probably the perfect course for the horse. He's almost guaranteed to get the fast pace he needs to ensure stamina becomes just as important if not more important in the closing stages.

He stays better than most 2 milers which is quite an asset to have in the race and no doubt if PN has him right he'll run a big race but the World Hurdle?.....I don't think he'd get the trip and I doubt if PN thinks he will either......PN's often said he's a very fast horse, faster than people give him credit for and while he does get 2m4f well enough 3 miles round Cheltenham?...I can't see it..........seems like a desperate move to try and keep the race in the yard

He was retired at the same time as Kauto Star PN just didn't bother his ass telling anyone.

I missed this comment when it was posted, else I could have pointed out it was not the case.

Why do people on this forum, and there are a few, persist in making comments regarding PN and his horses that have no justification. ?

I think it shows a lack of class to be constantly critical of trainers who have consistently achieved success at the highest level worldwide.

You were on and posted on the forum the day it went up and the day after and the following day but you failed to notice the thread did you?

My comment was a flippant, because nothing had come out of the yard with regards Celestial Halo who after all was a leading light in the yard, in 8 months and there's never been any mention of any injury on the web until now. Then all of a sudden you notice the post????

I can remember you posting some nice pics a few years back and maybe you go to Ditchat regular or maybe your just someone who would post after the fact to make yourself look smart.......plenty of them on this forum as well.

Perhaps if you could tell us exactly how you knew he was still in training it would clear things up.

As far as PN goes after the childish Championship yibe and his go at Clive Smith as if it was his horse and not the owners it's fair to say in many peoples eyes PN can be a bit of a pillock at times.

This comes across as a very petty and unpleasant post . Perhaps if you are going to make "flippant" remarks like that it might be wise in future to use a smilie to avoid any future misunderstanding .

Diamond Geezer is a longstanding member of this forum - who does not blow his own trumpet about how much or who he knows at all . His post should be read entirely at face value and your response strikes me as out of order .

More to the point Tanlic how did you "know" Celestial Halo had been retired and that the trainer could not bother his ass telling anyone ? You didn't did you ?

I do not propose to publicise on here any insight I may have into that yard or others but let me point you to horse number 1070 in the RP Ten To Follow book published in October and the accompanying note which ends "out until the New Year".

Public knowledge CH was injured towards the end of last season and would need a long spell on the sidelines.

It was a flippant remark, for chris'sake, and some of us saw it as just that.
Now, any chance we can get back to discussing the horses?

In a minute:lol:I just find it strange that if it were public knowledge and this is one of the top forums on the internet that not one person out of over 400 views could answer the question asked Anyone know what happened to him? until the article DOM posted appeared.....Public knowledge my backside.

Usually when a top hurdler gets injured it's front page news this never appeared on an website not ATR RP OR SL if anyone can find it I'd love to see it.

Oh dear

Yes, 90% of Tanlic's posts are flippant, take it with a pinch of salt and move on.

As far as the horse is concerned, I've never forgiven him for winning so well at Wincanton and in the process convincing me to do my conkers on him for the CH.

seriously good horse this..even though 80% of the forum thought him little better than selling class 18 month since ;)

he's proved them wrong..particularly scathing was that Grassy character:lol:

eat it eat it

This is nought but bare-faced trolling. Admin should be reaching for some cards, imo.

:D

What can I tell you, EC1? Even a blind squirrel will find a nut in winter.
