The thread of last season can start this year with an update on the reigning champ.

"He's done amazingly well over the summer," beamed Harrington. "He's come back in looking really, really good. He's just doing loads of canters now and the lad who rides him every day says he's just asleep, he's that relaxed.

"That's all he's doing at the moment, but I'd say logically he'll start out in the Morgiana and then run again at Christmas - that's what I would see him doing."

Really difficult to see an angle for a bet at this stage

In terms of the price contracting, Irving is the one, I like.

Should win fto, seems to be in good health and capable of better than he showed last March.

Aniflet looked the best juvenile over here last year but was never off the bridle and has it to prove again.

Top four in the market are all tight enough.

Big clashes over Xmas on both sides of the sea will tell a lot.

Wilde Blue Yonder is out for the season with a tendon injury. Sore one for the syndicate.

Bitterly disappointing. A horse I followed closely last season and backed to a place in the supreme at a massive price.
I was very much looking forward to seeing him this season. Commiserations to all concerned.

Injury wasn't thought to be too serious.

Haven't seen anything on her yet but no news is good news

Pelvic fracture IIRC.....I remember him putting a brave face on it at the time but I would have expected some low level 'noise' by now regarding fitness and plans for the season.

Looked a proper prospect to me.

I might be wrong, but didn't Moscow Flyer fracture his pelvis on the way to post for the Supreme Novices? If so, he didn't turn out to be too shabby, so possibly not so serious as injuries go.

Edit: thinking about it, it might have been Landing Light. Or both.

Or none of the above! :D

Not Moscow anyyway.

Never took part in the supreme.

He nearly killed himself over schooling hurdles with Geraghty onboard him one day but that aside, he was sound
