If you are making an annual event of it this year and use public transport, be aware the Stagecoach bus drivers are planning a strike whilst the Festival is on so geting from the station or from the town out to the racecourse will need a bit of forward planning. This includes drivers in Chelt, Glos, Stroud, Swindon, Oxford, Bristol.

Good chance the bus drivers strike will not happen as Stagecoach have made a pay offer to try and avoid any such action.

Rather than start a new topic...

Restaurants in Town Centre, any locals here that would recommend a couple, mid-range, steak, Italian, Thai, reliable standard even in Festival week.

Much obliged,

AC

Not sure what availability will be like, we booked our places to eat several weeks ago.
I'd definitely recommend booking in advance.

Steak:- The Ox, Suffolk Rocks.
Thai:- The Vine
Italian:- La Primavera
Sams in Montpelier is also excellent, check their website out, almost English Tapas.

All of the above are either town centre or no more than 15 minute walk from centre.

Any more advice send me a message, I'm more than happy to give you my number.
