Cheltenham - Friday - What are you backing?

Ilikedwayurthinkin.

Been on all year, for Jonjo to pick Front View. Not giving up hope, but had sickness insurance on Front View.

Yep.

I'd like to see Oakley run a big race in The County. It won't be easy though.

Yellow Tiger supplemented- 100/1? Why? Never Do Nothing only 8/1 for a G1 last time, official excuses made.

Aramon

Elusive Belle
Saint Roi
Mohaayed
Adjali
Stolen Silver

Happy with ante-post bets on Mohaayed and Stolen Silver. Hard to decide between the others and not much profit in backing them all. Instead of diluting the stakes, I’m going all-in on Aramon.

Albert Bartlett

Monkfish
Janidil

Can’t say I fancy anything in a race I don’t like. I have Janidil at 16/1 to win any race and here’s shorter than that here. That will do for now.

Gold Cup
Santini
CDO

Not sure last year’s race was that hot. Hendo clearly rates Santini up there with his best and Nicholls is raving about CDO so they’ll do me.

The Bay Birch

Two Taffs
Winter Escape
Chosen Mate possibly chucked in but price has gone, likewise Greaneteen; Lisp a bit short now too; no strong other fancy, happy to take the other three at best odds/terms against the field.

Skelton said on TV a couple of months back that FTS was his dark handicapper for this race; DD for Byrnes, other two for Nicholls, big prices for target trainers.

Best of luck to everyone today.

I think Shantou Flyer might do it this time around. We'll see.

What on earth was Townend thinking there on Aramon?

It's maybe my pocket talking but I reckon if you swap the jockeys you swap the result.

Winner undoubtedly impressive and high class but would he have given Aramon eight lengths all the way round plus the extra distance by travelling wider? I'm not so sure. I wouldn't mind knowing what Willie thinks privately of the ride.

As I said, ot's probably my pocket talking at least for now. I reserve the right to change my mind once I've dug into the result a bit more :)

Willie and Barry interviews on RTV suggests they knew what they had and commented how Paul Townend brought Aramon to challenge at the right time.

Lydia asked if tempted to go to Supreme, Willie said No. Too well handicapped.

Presenting Percy looked different in his coat to my eye. I felt a big run was coming.

I reckon he would have gone very close.

Commiserations to connections. They must be gutted.

At least the horse got up.

He didn't put a foot wrong but simply took off too soon at the second last.

Two serious blunders from Delta Work ended his chance

Great run by LostinTranslation but didn’t get up the hill

Disappointing from Clan Des Obeaux given how bullish PFN was

Some achievement by the winner
