The headshots of Blazing Baily and Lyes Green are magnificent. What a change in the weather of the three days. As always, you have captured the meeting brilliantly.

You should really consider taking up a career in horserace photography, UG! :)

May I ask what size lense you use?
Helen, before he replies can I just remind you that size doesn't matter it's the way he uses it..... evidently. :brows:

Another fine collection Steve;

Did you get any of Victram in the big hurdle on Sunday??

Any of Baron Windrush jumping round as well?, if so email and will sort something out.

Super duper! Really tells the story of the weather... so glad I stayed home!
And full marks to those who did their duty

Some great old-fashioned hunting seats on display LOL

I esp liked the one of Spot being led in -

"No need to pull me about! - Sure I know where the Winner's 'spot' is, but I's best take the plaudits form over here first!"

Aldaniti, I use a variety of lenses as follows ;

Canon 17-85mm f4-5.6
Canon 50mm f1.8
Canon 85mm f1.8
Canon 135mm f2.8
Canon 70-200mm f2.8
Canon 75-300mm f4-5.6
Tamron 200-400mm f5.6

The focal lengths should be multiplied x1.3 or 1.4 (cant remember which) to find the actual focal length to account for them being old lenses on what was a new digital camera Canon 30D

For Chris and Steepler

Which of those lenses is the one you stick with most? Or is it entirely changeable given the conditions, light, your position etc. on the day?

I keep the 17-85 in my pocket as it gets used alot in the winners enclosure, but otherwise I try to use each lens for one race on the card as it makes me think about what I am doing a bit, and forces me to come up with something as opposed to going onto autopilot.
