Would you put in a claim of €15,000 for Akasaka, Bolger's yoke the same or maybe Bold Thady Quill all capable winners. Some of these don't seem bad value when you consider what is paid for yokes at Newmarket and Doncaster HIT sales...

Better then whatever was paid for Sammy The Snake last week.I would like to see one claimer at Dundalk every week next winter. They could make it very interesting with a little bit of imagination.

Jim Bolger would be one of the last trainers I'd claim from. His horses must be amongst the fittest in Europe and I'm not sure you'd find any improvement, and more likely you'll find problems.

In an environment where claimers are rare it is inevitable that there are plenty of horses with problems running.

The USA and France are different, the claimer is a normal and regular part of the programme in both countries and it common for horses to change hands that way.

Lynam usually does a clean out this time of the year to make way for his 2yo battalion. Off 82 he's high enough but off that mark you can pick and choose where you go with him and have a bit of fun picking up a pot or two along the way.

You'd probably need to know someone in the yard to find out about problems. If they are raced regularly they may not have. You might make a hurdler out of Lynams if he has the size and scope. The pedigrees of the others suggest a mile might be the limit of their trip but I'm not a flat form man.
