I was looking for a verbatim rendition of The Spanish Inquisition sketch for Krizon, but stumbled upon this instead from The Holy Grail ~ Sir Galahad the Chaste has arrived at the Castle Anthrax (in which live eight score young blondes and brunettes, all between sixteen and nineteen-and-a-half, cut off with no one to protect them) where he believes he has seen the Grail. Galahad is keen to retrieve the grail and leave as quickly as possible before he can be led astray........

GALAHAD: Torment me no longer, I have seen the grail!

DINGO:Oh, wicked, bad, naughty Zoot! She has been setting alight to our beacon, which, I have just remembered, is grail-shaped. It's not the first time we've had this problem. Oh, wicked, wicked Zoot. Oh, she is a naughty person and she must pay the penalty, and here in Castle Anthrax, we have but one punishment for setting alight the grail-shaped beacon: you must tie her down on a bed and spank her.

GIRLS: A spanking! A spanking!

DINGO: You must spank her well, and after you have spanked her, you may deal with her as you like, and then, spank me.

AMAZING: And spank me.

STUNNER: And me.

LOVELY: And me.

DINGO: Yes. Yes, you must give us all a good spanking!

GIRLS: A spanking! A spanking! There is going to be a spanking tonight!

DINGO: And after the spanking, the oral sex.

GIRLS:The oral sex! The oral sex!

GALAHAD: Well, I could stay a BIT longer.

I love the scene in the woods, where the knights engage in a savage fight, their opponent is useless and is left snarling at their departure, all limbs cut off, blood spurting wildly everywhere, "Come back! Come back and fight, you cowards! I'll bite your ankles!" (Something like that, but the scene's hilarious.) And the huge, tree-like Knights Who Go Neh!

:D Can one obtain DVDs of these priceless antiquities? One inquires, since one is the owner of a DVD player, only slightly less mind-boggling than Ye Olde Video Playyere.

They are selling a collection of the three films and what appears to be a collation of some sketches from the series, on DVD, in supermarkets, for less than £20 at present. Bargain at half the price.

"Spamalot", the Eric Idle musical which is sort of based on the Pythons' "Holy Grail" was a smash hit on Broadway and is now coming to the West End.

I like the bit with the hand grenade.

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
