As one or two forumites like the occasional slurp, here's an offering from one of Brighton's 5 million bars, featured in this month's Brighton & Hove magazine. Yes, it IS remarkably like a Tequila Sunrise in appearance!

THE BRIGHTON PEBBLE

1 part vanilla Stolli
1 part Passoa (passionfruit liqueur)
Dash of passionfruit puree
Touch of gomme
Orange juice
Grenadine

Shake the vodka, Passoa and puree with ice. Strain into pint glass full of ice. Pour in o.j. at the same time (er, yes, that is using both hands). Finish with a hefty splash of grenadine for that sunset look. Garnish with a slice of orange and a couple of straws.

Thash nishe, I'll habbanudda, pleathe.

Do you think the passionfruit puree and liqueur could count towards the recommended five portions of fruit and veg per day? What with the orange juice and the slice of orange, this could turn out to be a very healthy drink indeed :D

Absosnockeringlutely, Griffs! I only drink healthily - plenty of lime (against scurvy), lemon (cleanses the bowels), orange (Vit.C) and mixed fruits (mega-vitamins) with all my G&Ts, voddies, Pimm's, etc.!

And here's a question that has me stumped. Does a bottle of wine count towards fruit and veg portions? What about 4 cans of Strongbow? I hope so!!!

I can't see why not, in all sherioushnessh. Wine's just fermented grapes, so I don't see the diff between a bottle of fermented grape juice and, say, a prune, which is just a wizened plum. Cider must surely count towards the intake of fruit - again, it's only apples' juice allowed to ferment. No different than apple juice counting towards the daily goodnesshh. (Hic!)

I'm not sure that Haagen-Dazs' strawberry ripple ice cream counts in quite the same way, though...

It has to be worth a go though!! I had Carte D'or Spagnola yesterday which had 8 large cherries on the top so that's me sorted!

Ooooohhh... another one for the arsenal of naughtiness! Haven't heard of that one - our local shop is hung up on the rather naff Bailey's and a toffee one (I slightly overindulged on that last year, so am looking for tastes anew). :P

Like the sound of that one aunty K - and Im sure that Strawberry cheesecake HD ice cream counts - just like Lemon Drizzle cake - it has lemons, therefore it is good and healthy!!!!
