Blowing a gale outside, lashing rain.......bring back the cold, dry and frosty day/nights....alls forgiven!

Rain hasn't hit us yet - the wind's been pretty bitter all day mind and is blowing up a bit here now.

Although I'd agree about the frost - no mud, it's heaven!!! - it is hard work surviving with animals and frozen water troughs/taps.

Been positively warm here today but luckily dry. All water defrosted and I now have an extended water hose with an on/off switch at the end, which is sheer bliss, as it means no more lugging water buckets into the pens without either automatic waterers or tanks.

Wet and windy yesterday, frost coming out of ground, top 1 inch quite squelchy. Another freeze threatened so hope Clueless pays heed and gets the covers down in time.

I'd rather have frost than this foul wind and rain we're having now! I don't think I own anything that doesn't have smears of mud on it somewhere.

Good news, Bad news:

Bad news: The wind and rain has returned to Gib today, causing all flights to be diverted to Malaga. All the Darts players (who were here for the Gib Open) were on these flights and all bar one have been taken up the coast.

Good news: The one who has remained in Gibraltar is now looking for an evening or two of entertainment, a subject in Gib at which I am fairly well versed.

Oh yes, and the player's name is Anastasia Dobromyslova.
