Anyone stay for these or even go with racing only a second consideration ?
Makes money for racecourses I presume but not for me, too many drunken idiots in attendance.

Anyway here's news regarding the Newmarket line -up this summer

Tickets are now on sale for the seventh and final Adnams Newmarket Night of the season at www.newmarketracecourses.co.uk and by telephone on 0844 579 3010. For a limited time, there is a 10% discount on ticket purchases.

Adnams Newmarket Nights attracted audiences totaling over 100,000 last year -and another total attendance well into six figures is expected over the seven dates this summer.

The full line-up for the 2013 Adnams Newmarket Nights is:

21 June - Simple Minds
28 June - 5ive, Blue and Liberty X
19 July - Madness
26 July - Labrinth
2 August - Kaiser Chiefs
9 August - Keane
16 August - Meat Loaf

Never heard of first three, London boy Labrinth worth a listen.... most of the rest like a few in the industry one hit wonders but doing well to prolong their careers as most have reached the point of being on life support machines.

If I want to get pissed and have a shagg I go to a nightclub. Keep racecourses for punters and horses or it all gets a bit too like Royal Ascot for me. Showmanship amongst the privelledged aristocracy. W'nkers.

(sorry)

exactly, this is bringing the majority of this country's high street pub/bar/club crowds to the racecourse, with past-it music acts. recipe for disaster.

Have been several times to Newmarket Nights with various friends who are not that interested in racing, it's usually crap racing anyway! Most of them have enjoyed the experience and would go again, but not too impressed with that line up.
