Cheers, Colly. I remember seeing those early photos and thinking, "no way". This skin-growing/stretching business is astounding - I suppose the earliest proponent was Archie McIndoe with his horribly-burned or maimed airmen in WWII, where he grew new noses via skin extensions on the airmen's arms, for example. Terrific work by the surgeons and a huge relief for the parents - after all, how were they ever going to care for the girls once they got much bigger and heavier? As for their abnormal head shapes, a good head of hair will disguise much of that in time, I'm sure - they certainly don't look too unusual in their wraps, anyway.
It should be on the news in preference to the inane trivia we're dished out most evenings.
