Cordless phones

Has anyone a make (or even a feature) to recommend by way of cordless phone?

Our present one (can't remember if it's BT or Panasonic, but we've had both & both are / were naff) ... has a v. poor menu system & I'm just tired of the useless design.

These things are just sooo way behind mobiles in terms uf useability.
 
My BT one's fine, although I don't seem to be able to extend its ringing time, which means that if I'm not within a few feet of it, it's gone to answer mode before I can pick it up. Otherwise, it has enough functions to suit. But as I've had it for three years now, the model, the Freestyle 3200, is probably out-of-date and I'm sure there are better ones since. Its range is 300m outdoors (I've tried it - it's true) and 50m indoors. Stores up to 30 names and numbers (not that I've done that, preferring to haul out the address book, look them up, and dial, being a fossil at heart); has caller display, stores details of last 10 callers in 'Calls List', has a hands-free facility, secrecy feature, redial, keypad lock, and can also be used for conferencing with up to four other handsets. It has a PIN code to access messages and a number of other assorted features. Cost me £24.95. So far, so good...

Thanks for that, Krizon -- sounds interesting even tho' it's a BT phone .... :)
 
I've got BT Freestyle 250....which is shite, and has a rather unappealing Logan's Run aesthetic - like the bastard's might use it to read your brain-waves or something.

Time I traded-up.
 
That's two of us, then. Just like I've never managed to get past 20 minutes of 'Point Blank', which TCM shows every other week, or 'Zabriskie Point', other than the blowing-up bit at the end, which I failed to understand. Maybe I just don't get the 'point' these films are making!
