I'm not sure if I need to point out the differences between tiny island nations such as New Zealand and Iceland and the UK, USA or any mainland European country, but yep they seem to have done well with the huge advantages that they have.


Taiwan have used the SARS experience and the harsh lessons learnt well by all accounts, as a few Asian countries have. I'd say Japan and South Korea have had the best responses globally, it's a very different makeup and culture though which would be intensely difficult to recreate over here, or in most Western countries.
