Some good performances today - it really is a scandal that this meeting is not on Channel 4 .

True Story was impressive but the runner up was given an easy time of it . Shifting Power was tough but looks immature still . Nell Gwyn was good but not great would not be surprised to see Sandiva in the frame .

More good racing tomorrow . Racing should make more of this meeting bump the prize money up to its old levels and return it to 3 days . I should like to see the Free Handicap turned into a 90 plus race to make it more competitive and a valuable handicap for older horses too - there isn't a good 1m 4f handicap until Guineas day .

Want a good performance from Toormore tomorrow. Be Ready might be a tough nut to crack however. Smashing looking colt.

Mull of Killough is worth a bet in the Earl of Sefton. He loves the track and doesn't carry a penalty this year. 11/2 is fair.

I actually think the same thing, which must be worrying to you and supporters of Mull Of Killough.:)

They only have a contract to cover 90 days a year, which days would you drop ?

Good question. Maybe they should try to negotiate a 'liquid' contract whereby if the decent NH racing is abandoned in the middle of winter they can 'bank' the days instead of showing all-weather crud.

It would have been nice to see the better races from these two days (including the decent Cheltenham races) but I had no plans to back anything (until landing, so to speak, on Mull Of Killough this morning) so am not overarsed that it isn't on. I'll check out the replays.

Yes, the thought did occur to me, DG...

I'm more interested in seeing the replays, though, to help me assess the form. I can taking winning even if I don't see the race live.

Whilst Toomore is clearly the form horse I have a strong liking for Hannon's other runner, Anjaal. His win on the July Course last year was visually impressive and he beat some decent horses, including Astaire ,winner of the Gimcrack and Miiddle Park.

Have done a small ew.

Seeing this and a remark by Mordin that whenever the stable has won this lately and also have a second runner the second runner finished second, I've gone for Anjaal w/o the favourite (15/2 with Coral).
