Just about the last of the proper horse racing, before the winter-filler takes over full time...

St Nicholas Abbey's form could take a boost here. The French and German horses are pretty unexposed, with Fabre chucking the unbeaten but unproved Simon De Montfort in at the deep end.

Any thoughts?

Don Carlos is obviously the O'Brien prospect, but Mikhail Glinka appeals more at the prices. Clearly likes it soft.

It was clearly very heavy and Mikhail Glinka in second suggests the ground played it's part, so a pinch-of-salt is needed, but in a word: Yes!

i just watched the race earleir. Thought Murtagh's mount travel the best. The winner was rowing a long way out and was v impressive in the end.
