Cross Country Cheltenham

Probably going to make myself look thick here but why is the Sun not considered a hazard in the cross country race and as far as I could see and hear in the build up to the race not even considered ?

I imagine they will have had a really good look round it. It did look bad when they came around after the Aintree fence but I guess it depends how the fences are situated as to whether they are in fill glare. I drove up my road this time yesterday and couldn't actually see the road. If anyone was walking down it on my side, I could have potentially hit them (I adjusted my speed to about 15mph)

I'm going to guess here. A horse has never fallen at the hedges that they jump up the straight. They're not even jumps. A horse could probably run straight through it.
