Cumani loses Obaid string, including Postponed

RP just broken this but Sheikh Obaid is moving his entire string including Postponed to Varian - about 23 horses plus the unraced two year olds. A serious blow for Cumani's stable.
 
This is as surprising as aga khan sacking Oxx last year.
It is very unlikely that Varian is going to improve Cumanis results with this lot.

Not the first time this has happened to Cumani .Timing is very odd.

I wonder if Atzeni is going back to Varian - despite Simple Verse he has had few good horses to ride and as Sheikh O clearly thinks the world of Atzeni that is the way of getting assurance he will ride his horses ? If that were the case though you would expect it would happen at the end of the season .
 
It's the timing that is most surprising. Cumani was told just after Goodwood, a few weeks after Postponed's KG win. To take them away before the end of the season is even stranger. To send an Arc possible to a trainer a matter of weeks before the race beggars belief. Good luck to them.

In HiT Cumani is listed as having 111 horses with 39 of them owned by Obaid.
