A couple of small bets,both horses coming off big lay offs 183 and 119 days so couldn't be confident Lord Torranaga a 7 year old that is a middle distance horse,running in better races than this last seaso but won over 1m6fs last season..won on the fibresand off 64 claimer took off another three over 1m4fs in August.. For some reason first race back last season they decided to run him over this c/d on April 3rd won the race totally out of line with any distances that he'd run over before,the time was respectable as well,if they went a really good clip and he's fit then would have decent ew chances..Relying on a lot of things being right and runs off 69,would like to see loads of money for it as it was 11/2 the day it won,it's 7 pound higher but at least place wise looks overpriced on that one run..the other negative poor draw in 9.
Spirit Of The North was third in the Lord Torranaga race beaten 1 1/4ls,is 7 pound better off with it,that was also after a long lay off 160 days followed that up with three 2nds and a fourth and three runs since over hurdles,the biggest negative seems to be it's still a maiden after 18 runs as a 5yr old..Don't think it's a dodge pot just too consistent for its own good..Again a very poor draw in 10,if its fit and ready to go then ew chances again.Zoom Zoom Babe looks the obvious one won a class 5 last time out at Kempton and well handicapped on last seasons form.
