Hamilton Tuesday

Ballyconneely Lad 13/2 hills 7/1 365

A 0-80 6f sprint at Hamilton,the forecast rainfall at Hamilton is 40mm even if its just half that the ground will be soft there aren't many runners in this race with proven soft ground form bar horses that have gone up in the handicap Kats Bob goes on heavy so might win on default if that ground is as bad as that..The rest of the field have some gd/sft form but very little soft or worse and that includes Ballyconneely Lad a 4yr old but just the 10 lifetime runs,won its maiden on what was described as gd/sft when infact it was soft ground at ponte race was slow by 6.5 seconds and beat 86 now rated Fayathaan back in September 2020 as a 2yr old..Wasn't seen for seven months then went to Julie Camacho second run back was 3rd to Inver Park at Ascot off 79,that was in May 2021 that was gd/sft maybe slower, then a lay off of eight months before running three times on the aw just mediocre runs..Started this year having wind surgery and another six month break and was second to Tipperary Tiger here over c/d,the form is almost identical to Kats Bob through the horses in that race,the stable still haven't run this horse on soft ground and looking at Fast Company stats they improve dramatically on soft 15% and heavy 19% and even though beaten easily on that gd/sdt run against Tipperary Tiger there must be a chance it will prefer the ground if it goes soft..It has to improve to win the race but worth trying just based on its form on very soft ground at Ponte,it's form and profile suggests its had problems and is getting weaker,but will give it a chance with so many negatives against most of the field..

These weather reports are unbelievable,firstly it was 40mm on my2 forecast i checked it again went down to about 25mm and now tomorrow 3mm firecast,i've done the whole meeting on soft ground ffs,and now looks like maybe gd/sft at best which is not what i wanted to bet on same applies to all the other Hamilton picks..
