Not quite sure how, but I finished up on the right side thanks to money back on Soprano, ew with Ajero, double Tahiyra and King of Steel and ew Conquistador. I reckon a bit unlucky with Magical Sunset who won the far side race when all the pace was with the near side group.

1. Jabaara (Soprano)
2. NobleStyle (Little Big Bear)
3. Aimeric (Ajero)
4. Tahiyra
5. Magical Sunset
6. King of Steel
7. Conquistador

Anyway, that’s today, let’s get to tomorrow.

2:30 CHESHAM STAKES

I thought Matnookh was a real eye catcher on his debut run at Windsor. A slow start putting him on the backfoot, But Buick was easy on him and gave him one reminder when he made up plenty of ground finishing strongly into third with Buick not being at all hard on him. Nothing else appeals.

15:05 JERSEY STAKES

Covey went in my notebook after his 2nd place debut run at Southwell in a Class 5. He’s since racked up a hat trick of wins culminating in a Class 2 handicap (debut) at Haydock. Improving all the time and should find himself at home in this.

15:40 QUEEN ELIZABETH II JUBILEE STAKES

I quite like Sacred in this. She was a good fifth last year and looked quite good beating Sandrine by a couple of lengths last time.

16:20 HARDWICKE STAKES

Hukum ran extremely well to beat Desert Crown last time in the Brigadier Gerard and a repeat of that effort should see him close. Piledriver would appeal, but I wonder if his sights are set on a repeat win in the King George? This would probably take second place to that.

17:00 WOKINGHAM STAKES

Orazio has looked very comfortable in his two wins this season and should still have his nose in front of the handicapper.I also thought Spirit of Light finished strongly into fourth at York having endured a troubled passage.

17:35 GOLDEN GATES STAKES

Lion of War appeals in this, but not that strongly.

18:10 QUEEN ALEXANDRA STAKES

Goshen what’s he doing here? I’ll never forgive him for tripping over himself when miles clear ar Cheltenham with a lot of my money in his saddle cloth. Oh well, bit of fun to finish with.

With Hukum and Goshen non-runners and the Pile Driver win (money back Sacred and Lion of War) scraped half a point, today.

Lots of bets over the five days finished up -3.5 points without Al Asifah who was an expensive proper bet.
