A hundred years ago, Franz Reichelt invented the wearable parachute.
Unfortunately for him, his design need some extra little tweaking.
At first, I thought it was amusing; then I realised how incredibly brave these early aerial pioneers were. Incredibly brave -- and incredibly naive.

Yes, he goes SPLAT on the ground making a six-inch hole.
Clearly, his parachute had a couple of dedign-flaws. :(

The one i feel sorry for is the woman who did a jump onto an airfield. Unfortunately just as a helicopter was starting up

Not a great way to go.

Must have taken ages finding all the bits too
