At the Start
Midge Burridge and the Fan Club have produced another Dessie Racing Calendar for 2008. This may be the last one as although the members of the fan club are still going strong, it will obviously get harder to locate good photos of Dessie.
There will also be a book out by the first week of December (it is hoped) but you can pre-order it from Midge. It is her life with Dessie and includes a lot of unseen photos with a foreword by David Elsworth.
Both make a nice Christmas present and just incase anyone wants to accuse me of plugging them - well I am! Remember that all proceeds go to charity though and that during his lifetime Dessie raised many thousands for charity. It's nice that we can continue to do so in his memory. Read about them here:
