Actually, some very rusty cogs are turning and I think they used to dish out different badges as runner up prizes in competitions - they were called competition badges (unsurprisingly!!!) and were normal round badges rather than the shield shaped ones. I have definitely got two BP badges at home though - one original and one green one, both shield shaped. I really can't remember what I got them for (I'm sure it was writing daft letters!!) but I seem to remember an ambition to get myself a silver one :shy:
