So, apologies for the downtime, especially in the busiest week of the year.

The forum was loads busier than usual, to the extent that we managed to use the full bandwidth (60GB) in the first 18 days of the month, to give an idea, on a normal month it tends to be around 30-40GB.

I've paid for it to be doubled now, so we have 120GB going forward, which should be enough and I've also set alerts up so that I get notified when we are at 60Gb and again at 100GB, so in future, if we do hit that sort of level there will be time to get extra before the site goes down.

The extended downtime was because the hosting company didn't get back to me for 2 days, and there was no way to increase the limit without them manually doing it, so I was stuck until they did respond, which was late last night.

My apologies again for the site being offline for so long.

Just to show the spike we had this week compared to the rest of the year and how it was unexpected :(

The raw figures for last month and this month, in feb the forum used 6.95GB (this is just page stats, not other stuff like database, photos etc), whereas on Tuesday alone we used 7.99GB!

Wouldn't the spike be partially due to members not being at the meeting, and thus posting more on the forum and in the chat room?
Whatever, it's good to be back, and I''ll gladly contribute, if that's what we need.

If anyone would like to make a donation to the forum then it would be appreciated :)
I don't have a paypal account now though, so would either have to be bank transfer or I can send a link for you to pay by card, but I would need to know the amount in advance for a card payment as I have to enter the amount to generate a payment link (it's through revolut and each link is unique)
Just drop me a PM if anyone wants to, thank you

Yeah I'm sure thats what it likely was, but even then, it was a massive jump. As I say, it shouldn't be a problem going forward though, I was expecting a jump in visitors, just not the amount we did in such a short space of time. If you look at the page stats, they are roughly 7000-10000 daily, we went over 50000 more than once in the past week! I think thats the busiest I've seen since we started.
