Just seen the penultimate episode of this, quite possibly my favourite TV show ever - not just for it's lack of realism and soap-esque qualities.
For those who haven't seen it it's about a football club called Harchester United in the Midlands, currently in the play-offs so here's a brief update of what's happened lately.
Karl Fletcher - Mr. Harchester, ageing striker, took a bung to poison his team-mate but poisoned his girlfriend (a PA at the club) instead.
Ryan Naysmith - star player, night before the play-off final booked into the honeymoon suite with his girlfriend (the 16yo daughter of his club colleague Carl Caskey) - nearly caught by manager.
Viv Wright - player/manageer/goalkeeper, good player but was an absolute nutter until saw a councillor/psychiatrist (played by Rebecca Loos), found out that Ryan Naysmith had been sleeping with his wife, oh and he as good as hounded his goalkeeping understudy out of the club
Lee Presley - young starlet, good player though had been taking bungs from the ex-manager Don Barker
Don Barker - ex-manager and in this episode just killed Karl Fletcher, daughter got in the car and in the next episode with Karl's body in the boot of the car he gets a flat tyre.
And one for the tenuous famous people link topic, I was in some of the same classes as the lad who plays Lee Presley at high school.
