Good news for Dundalk afficionados with 14 extra meetings from December 2011 through to March 2012 for a trial three year period - wonder what the programme will be like and what prizemoney is on offer. They could do with a summer programme too IMHO as the surface can be slightly easier on some horses than the prevailing good to firm or in summers past the soft to heavy.

Might be time for a "Dundalk Afficionados Syndicate" with a horse caining them on the golden sands on a Friday evening in Feb 2012

Surely the programme will have to be very restricted. 4 months means you will have to give horses 4/5 chances of running. I think there are just over a 100 races. It will be interesting to see if therre will be some horses effectively excluded.

Concentrate on jockeys that show a level stakes profit,keep an eye on tote board,don't be afraid to lay odds on shots.
