I'm thinking of registering with ebay. I have a load of stuff I want to move on and car boot sales are few and far between up this way.

Anyone got any good tips for maximising the service?

Don't forget to check out some of your good stuff for current trading prices, DO. I have six Waterford 'Lismore' pattern brandy balloons and thought I'd try to flog 'em off at a carboot for a fiver each. When I looked them up on Google, they're retailing @ £49 a glass and used ones are being traded from £10 each. Also, a Victorian hobnail-cut decanter in the 'Brilliant' period - £150 on an antiques site, whereas I was thinking it might be worth around £30. I won't ask for £150, but I won't take £30, either!

I have bought plenty of items from ebay. Here are what I would include as tips for successful selling:
Good clear photos! From different angles if possible although I think you pay more if you use mor ephotos?
Good clear honest info on item
I would restrict those buying to having at least 5 feedback to cut out tossers!
Putting a mobile number up may encourage some to ring as well to ask further questions.
Put reserve on if you don't want to let item go at low price i.e. 99p
Work out correct postage for each item.
Post items promptly
Give good feedback to the buyers!
