I'm not sure that I didn't ask this question last year, so forgive me if I did and am asking again. Is there a way to (preferably easily) e-mail a page from a website to someone? I sometimes see interesting articles I'd like to send to people I think would like to receive them, but the pages don't have 'e-mail this page' functions. Any idea how I might achieve this, please?

Jon, it's relatively easy. Just click in the browser bar at the top of the page you want to send them, click once, the web address will go blue, right click and choose copy. Open your email, and at the point you wish to give them the link, right click and choose paste.

This will put the address into the body of your email, all they will have to do is cut and paste into their broswer address bar and it will take them to the page.

If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser and a POP3 mail client such as Outlook or Outlook Express, from the page you want to send:

File > Send > Page by Email...

If you are using IE7 then you may need to press the 'Alt' key to see the File Menu.

Alternatively if you usea web-based mail account such as hotmail then you can usually just copy the URL from the address bar at the top of the screen (of the page you want to send) and paste it in an email. For example the URL of this page is: http://talkinghorses.co.uk/forum/index.php...=0&#entry347210

The above will work on all webpages that are not displayed in frames. I wont go into the technicalaties of what this means but basically 90% of the time you will be fine. If you do have problems, try right-clicking on the page you want to send, choosing properties and then copying the Address (URL) from there - and then pasting it in to the email.

Which way is up to you and depends on how you have your email set up.

Crikey, that's what I call a quick response! Thanks, chaps, I shall write down what you've said so I don't lose it, and experiment. I've got IE and Outlook Express, bets, so it 'should' be straightforward! It'll be cool to be able to send pages like this. Many thanks to you both.
