Or Equine Infectious Anaemia has been found in two imported neds which came from Rumania via Belgium, to Wiltshire. Both now destroyed and, for once, a big well-done to the Animal Health guys for being vigilant re post import testing. Luckily for the rest of us they discovered this during the coldest winter snap for ages, as it's spread via biting flies or needles.

It's a very nasty way for a ned to go, especially in the chronic form and is another disease we can well do without here, as I believe there's no vaccine and it's incurable.

If only it was as easy with bTb - have three bulls all tied up this morning ready for the vet to read their skin tests in an hour - two sold subject to clear test....:(
