Mr Howard has promised us coffin dodgers an average £340 reduction on our council tax bill with a 50% reduction across the board and a max of £500 granted.

He has offered this carrot to me and the other 5 million or so and a vote catcher it will be but, WILL he reverse the ban on fox hunting ? he certainly will because they who back the Countryside Alliance mostly back Mr Howard.

Works both ways.....we all know that Bliar (sic) is going to promise loads with no intention of fulfilling any of them.....
 
He doesn't renege on all of his promises though - after all, he promised to ban hunting with dogs... :D

Anyway, it's Gordon who'll have to be keeping or breaking most of the promises.
 
It can certainly be questioned whether he banned hunting with dogs...after all, Alun Michael yesterday declared himself perfectly happy with the practice of hunting the fox, flushing it with a pair of hounds, shooting it (after which the hounds got it anyway) - that's hunting whichever way you look at it! Despite the ban, very little will change & foxes will continue to be hunted...legally.
