AS polling day nears, who do you intend to vote for? Please excuse me if I've missed any out, 'other' should hopefully cover that. And please excuse my spelling of the welsh party.

But I never have voted Conservative but seems they got their manifesto correct ? but doubt they would implement as such......(and its not racist to talk about how many immigrants are being let in this country) ah I remember it well !! :o I told you this last FEB do you remember???......

And I would not vote for Blair after being a member of the Labour party for 30 yrs I was/am a socialist not someone masquerading under a pretext of a Labour party FLAG..
So the best of a few choices in my eyes would be LIB-DEM if they had a better leader I think they would have more votes too....

I personally have never voted never will and really dont know or care to know about any of them, just hope the fox hunting ban is lifted and that the war on terror continues. :D

Ah, look at that.....I hope Ardross doesn't look at the result so far, he'll have heart failure!!!! Either that or register another half a dozen usernames..... ;) :D

Fudge, ever thought of combining the two activities and setting the Heythrop onto snuffling out drug dealers, while the Southdown & Eridge sniff out bomb-making equipment? Now that'd be really impressive!

to talk about how many immigrants are being let in this country
Saw an interesting couple of pieces of information on this subject on the news the other day. A majority of people believe that more immigrants are being let into the country than 2 years ago, but there are actually less being let in. And a majority of people believe that those immigrants who do get let in receive more or equal benefits to UK citizens, but the truth is that they actually receive less.

The Sun has a lot to answer for.

I'm sure it's not blameless, and whilst we're at it, I can't really see the epitome of hypocrisy, the Daily Express reporting the facts in this instance either. However, The Sun has a much larger circulation, and it would perhaps not be unfair to assume that a greater percentage of it's readership are less able to decide whether their "news"paper of choice is actually reporting facts or not.

Immigration strategy backfiring on Tories

Michael Howard's 'dog whistle' immigration strategy is encouraging more reluctant Labour voters to return to their party than recruiting new Tory voters, according to the results of this week's Guardian/ICM election poll.

The survey shows that the first phase of the election campaign has left Labour in a stronger position - up two points on 39% of the vote and the Conservatives down a point on 33%. The six-point lead - in line with other recent polls - will steady nerves among Labour's strategists.

The ICM findings suggest that Mr Howard's hardline stance on asylum and immigration is putting off more voters than it is attracting. The Conservative lead on the issue has fallen from 13 points to 10 over the last week.
Immigration is also slipping down the list of "most important" concerns, being named by only 8% of voters this week compared with 12% 10 days ago.

At the same time Labour has extended its lead on the key battleground of the past week - tax and public services - from three to eight points and retained its substantial leads on health, education and the economy. The only "first order" issue in voters' minds on which the Tories are ahead is law and order.

Just 3% of voters regard the Iraq war as the "most important" issue when deciding their vote. This ranks the same as Europe.

While Labour has extended its opinion poll lead, the ICM survey also has its support firming up with 59% of Labour supporters saying they are certain to vote compared with 52% a week ago. This compares with 65% of Conservative voters and 54% of Liberal Democrat voters.

The poll also shows that the voters do take some notice of manifestos, with 78% of Labour voters and 56% of Conservative voters believing that some of the election promises made will be implemented. But hardly anyone believes that the parties will do everything they pledge.

ICM interviewed a random sample of 1,524 adults aged 18 and over by telephone between April 10 and 12. Interviews were conducted across the country and the results have been weighted to the profile of all adults. ICM is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.

May be others too that oppose them I can’t think at this moment in time.....

So is there anybody left to vote for them now????? :P :o

The more vile the Conservatives get the more Labour voters will return to the fold . There have been few more disgusting political stunts than Howard trying to blame Labour for the murder of PC oakes - how low will this son of an economic migrant and grandson of an illegal immigrant go ?

Thus Labour's widening lead in the polls

Labour aren't really leading this particular poll.

I find the all the main parties fairly unappealing. Labour are pretty vile too with all their claptrap.
