If Elvis Presley had lived (ignore those on the Betfair forum who just know that he is still alive) he would have been 70 tomorrow. What do you think he would have looked like?

For a proper, scientific mock-up image of what the King would look like today, produced by Dr B Tiddeman, Computer science / perception lab, University of St Andrews go to:

Elvis at 70

(I tried to copy it over, but it wouldn't allow me to do it)

Elvis was great . That comeback concert in the late 60s before he got very fat was amazing .

Apparently - I think this chap should stick to his brilliant analysis of hurdlers :P

I agree with Ardross about the comeback special. Have you got the double CD?

The 'sitting down' disc is surely one of the greatest Elvis recordings?

Interesting that the song featured most in that concert 'Baby what you want me to do' was never used again. Presumably too horny for the Colonel. Big shame as he sings it so well.

"We're going up.....we're going down......"

Ardross, the 'sitting down' disc is probably the original 'Unplugged' gig. He has Scotty Moore and DJ Fontana playing an acoustic set with him. A bit rough and ready, but utterly brilliant.

I'm with Maurice and would add he was the biggest load of shit since Frank Sinatra. Only decent song he ever sung was 'You were always on my mind' and Willie Nelson was far better at that.

ho yes I am another fan of Elvis and love most of his songs ...................

Actually the last postman I had collects memrabillia of Elvis he bought one of his belts among other things.........

and my son knows a lady who met up with this guy who changed his name to ELVIS PRESLEY he does all the clubs up the valleys (performs sings) dressed in his full regalia of which he has several of these? in various colours and styles....

They got wed in the City hall in Cardiff and had their honeymoon at Graceland.....

They live just outside of Cardiff (GWAELOD-Y-GARTH) and about a year ago now I was listening to the Police channel :o and they pulled his car over (for a P.N.C.) and he gave the name ELVIS PRESELY and the operator said over the air to the P/C ask him if he his LONESOME TONIGHT which brought a smile to my face........ but his address and documents were checked and everything was in order.........

So if someone ask you where does ELVIS PRESELY live tell them GWAELOD-Y-GARTH :P :D ........................

The views of one Honest Thomas regarding the ability of one Albert Francis Sinatra are his and his alone. The fact that this party agrees with Mr Thomas's views on Elvis Aaron Presley must not be interpreted as implying that this writer agrees with his views on Mr Sinatra. Mr Presley remains, in the eyes of this writer, one talentless plonker.

Looks like he has had a tuck or two !

:o Its a hobby Paul I have a few communications receivers that pick up everything that goes out on the air from satellites, to planes, to shipping, p.m.r. security, ambulances, fire service, phones, all linked to my p/c too….. but the POLICE are now digital so can't now pick them up......... was o/k on analogue but until a decoder comes on market its now impossible to hear accept for a few forces who have not upgraded and use V. H. F. the POLICE use this new TETRA coding now you may have seen people erecting masts that carry the signal in various new locations (for POLICE to use) my house is like GCHQ with four twigs on the roof but need another three in order to try and get new TETRA CODES…………..

P.S. used to always have it on when on here in the background ……………it can be interesting too……..

The King returns to reign in charts
Elvis Presley is back at the top of the UK singles chart, 27 years after he died.

The King of Rock'n'Roll has knocked Steve Brookstein off the number one spot with the re-release of Jailhouse Rock, which topped the US and UK charts for the first time in 1958.

It is Elvis's 19th chart-topper and comes the day after what would have been his 70th birthday.
