Gone But Not Forgotten
Over the weekend we had a small server hack, which resulted in 10's of thousands of spam emails being sent from talkinghorses.co.uk. This has now been foxed, but has meant the email server has been blacklisted. What this means is that I cannot send any emails from this domain, so i can't reply to anyone, and it includes auto emails, such as notifications of replies, PM's and anyone who uses the 'send member an email' function. I cannot do anything to fix this at the moment, it will drop off the blacklist in time, usually around 72 hours, but can be longer or shorter than that, so this is just to let people know why they aren't getting emails.Just to be clear, the forum did not have any security breach, your email addresses, passwords etc were not compromised at all. This was a wordpress exploit where they uploaded a script through an unsecured plugin which was used to send spam emails, nothing more. The wordpress install was actually uninstalled but it obviously left some files behind which is how they got in. I am also aware of the edit problem which I think is due to a script being slightly changed when we were looking for the compromised files, it will be a couple of days until I am sure there are no more files being uploaded, and therefore being able to change it back, sorry about that, you will just have to type carefully
