When is the official end of the jumps campaign, the day the Champion Jockey and Trainer are crowned? I can't work it out. You'd expect that it was the Bet365 Gold Cup Day at Sandown, which is this Saturday, it always used to be. But then that would mean the Irish Grand National and Punchestown Festival were classed as Summer Jumping and classed as 'next season' and that can't be right. So when is it?

I think in the UK it is this weekend... No idea about Ireland but i'm sure someone will know.

Either way it has been a great jumps season in which some great horses have come to the fore and past greats continued to do their supporters (Staunch supporters in the SteveM/Denman axis) proud. I hope Kauto wins at Punchestown....

The Irish season ends at Punchestown-it's not classed as summer jumping because it's a different jurisdiction.
