Ian McDiarmid's performance was simply brilliant and I struggle to view him as anyone but Palpatine in any other film he stars in from now on.
 
Great action scenes. Dialogue was palpably bad. The scene when Anakin is talking to Padme at their home.. "I love you.." "No, it's because I love you more" BLEUUCH (typical - no vomiting smiley when you want one :D ).

That said, I enjoyed it very much (though a few times wished for some ear plugs).
 
I have just got back from seeing it. Sublime? No. A good Star Wars film? I think so, yes. I agree that Palpatine steals the film by virtue of being brilliant. He stands out even more owing to the wooden acting of everyone else.
