I would hope he's just giving the whole picture so not to get anyone's hopes up. It does sound a very serious infection but he's brought horses back from some pretty bad injuries and illnesses before so will have the best veterinary advice available.


I remember actually another of Hendos horses, Angels Breath when he won so impressively at Ascot, they were drooling over him but he got struck into very badly and had 3 years off before reappearing at Sam Thomas' yard. He didn't win for him and moved to Tim Vaughan where he went Hunter Chasing with son Ed. He won at Taunton but after contesting the Cheltenham Foxhunters last week, got a leg and has been retired. Such a shame - another horse who promised so much having his career ruined by injury.
