This guy is simply out of this world.

What an amazing performance today in the european parlament!!!!

Suny, I would be interested in yer opinions of Morales. I've been doing a lot of reading about him lately

Stalin is a modarate person if you compare him with this guy.

He is expropiating the European companies there, he does not know what means to respect contract.

He blames for all the problems of his country to the Colonitation.
But as far as I know spaniards didnt steal fuel or gas 500 years ago.

I think what is happening in Southamerica is very worrying with people like Chavez using inepts like Evo as his muppets and following all the advises of Castro this situation will end very badly for the people living there.

I would like to know what you have been reading about this guy in Ireland.

Corrupt capitalism is always likely to be replaced by raging communism. I don't know a whole heap about this guy, but as far as his economics is concerned undoing what has been done over the past decades is probably not a bad start.

And then raging communism is replaced by corrupt communism, followed by revolt, an unpleasant military interlude, followed by raging capitalism, then corrupt capitalism... does no-one ever learn from history? It's so corny, you could hardly believe it still goes on... and on...

He is the first member of the indigenous community to be President and he is seeking to redistribute income and wealth in a country riven by rampant inequality and desperate poverty - hence he is unpopular with the oligarchs .

Some would say that the reactions of capitalists who have for a long time run South America solely for their own benefit is no surprise.

The article I was read was lauding him for cutting his own wage and that of other politicians in half in his avowed anti corruption stance to start off...

But then Fidel Castro was listed as his father figure...............

Hard to call. I'm open to judgement yet.

He has said literally:
"Cuba is a democracy and Castro is a great democrat"

He uses eufemism to speak:

For him to expropiate is to nationalize.....and so on....

One thing is for sure
When this guy leaves his country he will be very reach and the situation of poornes and chaos will be huge, much bigger than few months ago when he won the elections.

To have this man ruling your country is worse than having a katrina hurricane every month.

Or even having that moron Aznar in charge what an improvement for Spain to have a socialist government :D

Far more adult and intelligent in its attitude to Gibraltar for a start.
