Yesterday I placed a bet with Matchbook on Napolean at lunchtime at 6.2.
Just before the race I opened Betfair and saw the price was 4.2 which I did not consider value. I quickly checked Matchbook and saw that my bet was not matched. It did drift as they were going in the stalls to 5.6 but nowhere near 6.0, so I was surprised to find out later that my bet was matched.
Napoean ran it’s race and finished a creditable third and I had definitely not asked to keep the bet in running.

Are the Exchanges crafty enough to hoover up losing bets?

This implies all betting exchange operators are of equal integrity, or lack of it.

What was the time stamp on the matched bet?

What time did the race start?

What was the Betfair SP by way of comparison?

If you don't entirely trust a site, either hands on monitor your bets and cancel at the off if unmatched or just don't bet with them.
