As much as I love Sky Lantern surely pace and ground are likely to be against her tomorrow .

Though I suppose Moore will not want a dawdle as Rizeena was impressive off a slow gallop in the Coronation

I suspect Ascot may have left a temporary mark on Purr Along. Needsa short break and a better jockey.

Moore may have been on the best horses today but at least he doesn't often fcuk up when he's on them.

I'm having a bad July meeting.

I only saw your brilliant namesake Desert Orchid run just once in the flesh, when he won his first K.George (can't believe it was nearly 30 years ago). I went to see Forgive 'n' Forget and I remember coming away scratching my head wondering how he got beat by a novice (if my memory hasn't faded too much I think his regular jockey chose to ride Door Latch or Combs Ditch). I came to the conclusion that Desert Orchid had been flattered by having an uncontested lead and was probably not as good as he looked. Called that one wrong and some !!

Did my July meeting budget on Pether's Moon yesterday so just watched the Falmouth today, something was clearly amiss with Sky Lantern imo, that run was too bad to just blame the ground or the tactics.
