I give them marks for originality and not being the bum boys of record company execs....oh and not being derivative shit like the Kaiser Chiefs as well.

No it doesn't. I could stick my debut single up on the net and tell message boards everywhere that it is free to download and thousands would download it whether it is good or bad.

My point is that they now have public exposure and a record deal and the sheep will buy the album now. The album may sell well but if they were any good in the first place they would not need to release their debut for free.
