I see that the ex-Australian American citizen Rupert Murdoch is dictating when or not an election should be held in the UK after a change in the Labour leadership. As politicians of all colours are too shit-scared to say anything to upset him, let me make a small contribution - why don't you just feck off Rupert!

Brian is evidently NOT one of these.....

And when I saw the title I wondered what on earth Brian had against my hamster, Rupert.

Such a handsome innocent little chap who has never offended anyone

What's that growing out of Rupert's head, Griffin?
One of those nutty chewy things that hang from the bars of his cage.

Jeez, Griffin, how does he survive with all your moggies around??
He has a cat proof cage. We've previously suffered two rather unfortunate losses but now have the perfect cage that not even my kids can get into. And to be honest, my cats don't really pay too much attention to him, probably because they know they can't get him.

One of the unfortunate incidents happened while we were on holiday and my brother was house sitting for us. He came home from work to find one of my cats, Brian, with half of Daisys hamster Bart in his mouth! Brian legged it into the garden with his prize and Chris searched everywhere for the rest of Bart but never found him. We didn't want to explain to Daisy what had happened to Bart so I asked Chris to go out and find an identical hamster. The next day he phoned me to say his mission was accomplished. Imagine my dismay when we returned home to find Bart version 2 was a completely different shade of ginger to Bart version 1 :o Daisy noticed it too and I explained that Bart was growing his winter coat and that's why he was so much darker ;) Thankfully she believed me.

Indeed. He has been a little strange lately, but I thought it was an age thing.

My Rupert got a new house today. He's getting on a bit and couldn't negotiate parts of his old house (they should do stairlifts for hamsters) so now he's got a senior citizens pad

I have never co-habited with anyone called Rupert.

Neither have I ever been intimately involved with a hamster (though I may have unknowingly eaten a guinea pig in Ecuador).
