even without the champ it looks a really interesting race. Sir Gino is just favourite ahead of Mystical Po
I am siding with the latter. Sir Gino destroyed Burdett Road but I not sure that form is as good as it looked.Mystical Power defeated a very good horse in Firefox and may just have the edge

A nice day for this time of year forecast, with highs of about 13 degrees.

I'm looking forward to being there. There's a couple of half decent looking side races, for betting purposes anyway, including the Rehearsal Chase.

If any forumites are there, (which I doubt) , but anyway, get in touch.

Punters really need the 8 runners to remain in this race tomorrow.

If so, I'll back the Ebor runner up, Kihavah E/W.

In the event they do go too fast up front for their own good, this fella can pick up the pieces late on, like he did at York.

Helluva lack of interest this forum is going to the dogs...I had a look at TRF many more posts than us in races like the King George twice as many.

Maybe the shrewder punters on this forum realise "big races" and horses like Constitution Hill get a disproportionate media and social media focus - there are so many betting opportunities in the literally thousands of other races each year.

Plus perhaps the perennially-discourteous tone of a few makes them disinclined to engage on some of these such threads.

If people think you're rude, don't be surprised if they end up not wanting to talk to you and ignoring you.

Yes, where's Barj gone.

Forums are for debating, and in the course of debating, arguments do happen.

While I've had consistently good relationships with many, there's also many I've annoyed and still been able to reconcile and interact with. It's only normal after a good few years of posting.

We might need a bit more of the good Christmas spirit on here to make it as interesting as it can be.

I think the lack of interest in this race is more to do with the fact there's only seven runners, and it appears a two horse race, than any bad blood. It seems I'm the only person in the world who thinks Kihavah will run well.

If we all carried bad blood over from pervious threads on to new threads then this forum will most certainly die of death.

I don't believe there's any need for disrespectful language towards another person and, being honest, one of my best recent experiences on here is a degree of reconciliation between myself and Tanlic.

Life's too short to be honest.

As for Kihavah, I was hoping for 8/1 for a top-3 finish but it was never more than 10/3 and with the field down to seven it's in to 9/4. That's a quick road to the poor house. It could run very well into third and you might not make any money, and it would blow his handicap mark.

I’ve done Mystical Power to beat Sir Gino S/FC. A good big one beats a good little one off level weights.

In terms of falling out with people on this forum, I have resisted retaliating when people have been rude about me or my arguments. But I won’t always do that. I can be as spiky and abusive as the next person, when pushed.

I think Kihavah should have been campaigned the way Burdett Road was - both returned to hurdling on great marks, one went up 5lb for running in a Pattern event at Kempton and now runs here, the other won the Greatwood.

If he gets anywhere near today - I'll be impressed if he does - his mark is well and truly ruined.

As for courtesy, no one is obliged to forgive and continue to interact with anyone they find offensive - if I find anyone rude I ignore them permanently, that's my choice to make and I'm not big on giving second chances to those I consider ill-mannered.

Thankfully, there seem more pleasant people here than unpleasant.

Kihavah is a horse who has improved massively since a wind operation at start of 2023.

He can out run the odds.

Whether he gets in the first two depends on the two market leaders.

Great stuff from The New Lion at Newbury which gives me a nice 8/1 going on to Mystical Power in this (Listentoyourheart having obliged earlier)

Should have gone to Ascot instead off a mark it might no longer have on Tuesday.

The first three home have all run to their marks - the winner's is 152.

You can give that number a + if you like, but he's proved zero in terms of demonstrating improvement since last season.

You would think the chances of 2 superstars on the same yard at the same time is highly unlikely but it does happen. Arkle and Flyingbolt Kauto Star and Denman eg. We saw Sir Gino kick Constitution Hill into touch in that gallop at Newbury very very easily. Ok C. Hill wasn't 100% but it was an absolute trouncing we took for granted was down to lack of fitness.I am into Constitution Hill for plenty and after that performance today I'd have Sir Gino way ahead of lossiemouth who I think has no chance.. Sir Gino would murder State Man for speed...I will be amazed if Nicky doesn't win the Champion Hurdle with one of his
..
