Film Four Goes Free-to-air

Anyone who subscribes to FilmFour may be interested to know that the channel goes free-to-air from Friday. This applies across the Sky, ntl, Telewest platforms and will be available on Freeview.

I think Merlin that Phil means that the films will be free as well as some occasional racing coverage :blink:
 
You're right, it is excellent news.

FilmFour Weekly ceases broadcasting though.

It used to be Film Four Extreme and Film Four World. Anyone remember those?
 
Fifty films to see before you die. On CH4 after Big Brother, to celebrate the launch.

Should be worth recording, if my favourites aren`t on i shall be annoyed.
 
The Princess Mononoke fanboys going on about how it's superior because it's not computer-generated pissed me off - as if computer generated films don't have to be created by people in the first place.
 
Why, in a show called "50 Films To See Before You Die", would you give away so much of the plots of the films featured?
 
I recorded it and am watching it now. Some very dodgy inclusions - The Breakfast Club for instance, do me a favour <_<

I'm assuming, perhaps incorrectly, that things are on the same channel, wherever you are .. :huh:
 
Never mind Film4 - Maybe Baby is on BBC1 at the moment, I found it pretty amusing the first time around (if not as good as the book, as is nearly always the case) so am watching it again. Not to mention that the delectable James Purefoy is in it....B)

Breakfast Club is pure class Euro. I fell asleep as the top twenty approached, with any film I hadn't already seen having been ruined by the key scene seemingly being shown every time.

Does anyone have the list?
