The BHA has seriously held up sales for the IJF's diaries and calendars with its fruitless pursuit of more prize money from the bookmakers' levy, thus managing to shoot itself in the foot that wasn't already mangled by its mishandling of the whip fiasco. Yes, overall, courses are getting the amount of fixtures they asked for, and I know you're right, Monty. They've also seen that the predicted paucity of 2 y.o.'s isn't happening (see all these late bloomers coming out now) and that races galore will still be needed to accommodate them onwards. Plus - there is also Dundalk and Ffos Las now in full swing to take up AW, Turf and NH numbers. The last embarrassment racing wants is another failed course!
