Hi there

I had a thought before that had me stumped for a short while until somebody gave me a conclusive answer;-

Are venus fly traps (if edible) suitable for vegans?

OK, it's good. Not great but good. So what's the answer?

My friend quite likes 'If you could only smack one of them (It's allowed to be a really good punch though), who would it be? Blanche out of Coronation Street or Dot Cotton?

Does anybody else have a thought or question that requires thought outside of common sense?

Here's one that's always bothered me slightly.

If they say that practice makes perfect why do they say that nobody's perfect. Why would you bother practising then?

And who are 'they' anyway?

  Yes, and if you were a kid and answered back with that, you'd be told not to answer back. Later, you'd be asked a question, and be expected to answer back. You'd be told not to be clever, then when your school reports weren't too complimentary, you'd annoy your parents by living up to that demand. You'd be told never to contradict an adult, but also that you must learn to stand up for yourself. You'd be told to keep quiet, stop making a noise; when you kept quiet and didn't make a noise, you'd be accused of being surly and antisocial. You were encouraged to take part in sports, then told off for coming home dirty. If you never got dirty, you were told you were a sissy, and should go and play sports... You were urged to go out and play, then yelled at that you were making too much noise (see above).

It isn't easy growing up, is it? No wonder kids don't understand their parents.
