Forumites Under Mod Control

I understand that there is at least one forumite under Mod Control.

My question is, shouldnt this news be in the public domain?

I am sure forumites would be outraged to discover that for years they have been living in the same neighbourhood as a convicted Modophile while their children play in the street or even have access to home computers. How can we and our children post safely and securely or risk opening a PM if we just dont know who these Modophiles are or where they live.

Forumites could be groomed into making abusive posts and PM's by Modophiles and they wouldnt even know that they had become victims. Until it was too late.

There should be a Forum-Offenders Register available to all forumites.

Modophiles on the register can easily disappear, re-register with a new moniker before the Moderators notice, and slide back onto the forum, devastating dozens with their rapier wit and stabs of brilliance. It's all far too late then for the Mods to say they thought that Social Ser - sorry, the Board Host - had been alert to the move. "Lessons will be learned from this," they'll say, shaking their heads at the havoc wreaked. But you can be sure that an extra-wily modophile will appear in the future, sly as a fox, and give them the slip again.
